At the designated time, we'll meet at the Bryggjegota pier to begin our boat trip exploring the Barsnesfjorden fjord and the Årøy River. You will enjoy the picturesque views of this famous fishing area in Norway.

As we depart from Sogndal, we will pass under the Loftesnes Bridge and enter the 5-kilometer-long (3-mile) Barsnesfjorden. The emerald green hills surrounding the fjord reflect in the crystal-clear waters, creating a remarkable environment.

During the cruise, we will also view the village of Barsnes, noted for its traditional wooden houses, providing great photo opportunities. Upon approaching the Årøy River, we will discuss its significance in sport fishing since the 19th century.

The swift river is home to some of the largest salmon globally, with a record weight of 34 kilos (75 pounds) caught in these waters. This unique natural occurrence is not to be missed.

After an hour of exploring the area, we will return to the Bryggjegota pier, marking the end of our adventure.
