At the designated time, we will meet at the Bryggjegota pier and embark on our boat trip to explore the Barsnesfjorden fjord and the Årøy River in Norway. The scenery of one of the most famous fishing spots in the country awaits.

As we depart from Sogndal, we will pass under the Loftesnes Bridge and reach the 5-kilometer-long (3-mile) Barsnesfjorden. The emerald green hills surrounding the fjord reflect in the clear waters, creating a stunning view.

While cruising, we will also pass by the village of Barsnes, featuring traditional wooden houses that present excellent photo opportunities. As we approach the Årøy River, we will learn about its history of sport fishing since the 19th century.

The fast-flowing river is known for some of the largest salmon in the world, with a record weight of 34 kilos (75 pounds) caught in these waters. After an hour of exploration, we will return to Bryggjegota pier.
