On this Fimreite boat trip, you'll sail along the waters off the coast of Sogndal, discovering the Fjord of Dreams and important historical events in Norwegian history.

Fimreite Boat Ride

At the appointed time, we will meet at the pier of Bryggjegota to board a boat that will take us towards the small village of Fimreite.

During the boat ride, we will admire the views of the Sogndalsfjorden, part of the Fjord of Dreams. This area features emerald waters, green hills, and small villages.

While enjoying the fjord, we will learn about the Battle of Fimreite, a significant naval conflict involving nearly 5,000 soldiers in the 12th century. The victory led to the proclamation of Sverre Sigurdsson as the new monarch.

After reaching Fimreite, we will return to Sogndal. The total duration of the boat ride is one hour and 40 minutes, concluding back at the starting point.
