On this Fimreite boat trip, you'll sail along the waters off the coast of Sogndal, discovering the Fjord of Dreams and a significant war scene in Norwegian history.

Fimreite Boat Ride

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the pier of Bryggjegota to board a boat heading towards the small village of Fimreite.

During the ride, we will view the Sogndalsfjorden, part of the Fjord of Dreams, characterized by emerald waters, green hills, and small villages with wooden houses.

While traversing the fjord, we will explore the history of the Battle of Fimreite, a notable naval conflict from the 12th century involving nearly 5,000 soldiers. The victory led to the proclamation of Sverre Sigurdsson as the new monarch.

After reaching Fimreite, we will return to Sogndal. The total duration of the boat ride is one hour and 40 minutes, concluding at the original meeting point.
