On this Fimreite boat trip, you'll sail along the waters off the coast of Sogndal, discovering the Fjord of Dreams and a significant war scene in Norwegian history.

Fimreite Boat Ride

At the designated time, we will meet at the pier of Bryggjegota to board a boat heading towards the small village of Fimreite. During the ride, we will enjoy the views of the Sogndalsfjorden, an arm of the Fjord of Dreams, characterized by its emerald waters, green hills, and villages with wooden houses.

While on the fjord, we will learn about the Battle of Fimreite, a significant naval conflict in Norway's history, with nearly 5,000 soldiers involved in this 12th-century battle, leading to the proclamation of Sverre Sigurdsson as the new monarch.

Upon reaching Fimreite, we will return to Sogndal. The total duration of the boat ride is one hour and 40 minutes, concluding back at the starting point.
