On this Fimreite boat trip, you'll sail along the waters off the coast of Sogndal, discovering the Fjord of Dreams and a significant war scene in Norwegian history.

Fimreite Boat Ride

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the pier of Bryggjegota to board a boat that will take us towards the small village of Fimreite.

During the boat ride, we'll admire the views offered by the Sogndalsfjorden, part of the famous Fjord of Dreams. You'll see emerald waters, green hills, and villages with wooden houses.

While enjoying the fjord's stillness, we'll learn about the Battle of Fimreite, a significant 12th-century naval conflict with nearly 5,000 soldiers involved. The victory led to the proclamation of Sverre Sigurdsson as the new monarch.

Upon reaching Fimreite, we'll return to Sogndal. The boat ride lasts one hour and 40 minutes, concluding back at the starting point.
