On this Fimreite boat trip, you'll sail along the waters off the coast of Sogndal, discovering the Fjord of Dreams and a significant war scene in Norwegian history.

Fimreite Boat Ride

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the pier of Bryggjegota to board a boat heading towards the small village of Fimreite.

During the boat ride, we will enjoy views of the Sogndalsfjorden, part of the Fjord of Dreams. The scenery includes emerald waters, green hills, and small villages with wooden houses.

As we experience the tranquility of the fjord, we will learn about the Battle of Fimreite, a prominent naval conflict involving nearly 5,000 soldiers in the 12th century. This battle led to the declaration of Sverre Sigurdsson as the new monarch.

After reaching Fimreite, we will return to Sogndal. The total duration of the boat ride is approximately one hour and 40 minutes, concluding at the starting point.
