Discover the heavenly beaches of Isla Holbox, known for its incredible beaches and bird diversity on the north coast of the Yucatán Peninsula.

Day Trip to Isla Holbox

Pickup from your hotel in Riviera Maya will be early morning, followed by transportation to Chiquilá port. You will board a small boat for the journey to Isla Holbox.

The first stop will be at a beach on the west coast of Holbox, where you will have 45 minutes of free time to relax.

Next, we will visit Isla Pasión, a small island with pristine beaches and diverse bird species. You will have free time to explore or relax at the viewpoint.

The journey continues to Punta Mosquito, an accessible beach from the sea, where between March and October, you might see pink flamingoes that breed here.

We will then visit a local restaurant by the beach to enjoy a typical regional lunch. Afterward, you will have approximately 1.5 hours to relax on the beach or visit the nearby town of Holbox.

After the tour, return to Chiquilá port for transport back to your hotel.

Tours on Mondays and Thursdays

On Monday or Thursday tours, the itinerary changes slightly to travel by speedboat. The first swimming stop is skipped, and the tour heads directly to Isla Pasión for breakfast and an hour of free time. A brief stop at Punta Mosquito will be made before dropping off in Holbox for 3 hours of free time. Finally, there will be a visit to Yalahu Cenote. This activity lasts approximately eight hours.

Itinerary Adjustments

The order of activities may change based on organizational reasons. For tours on days other than Monday or Thursday, and depending on weather, Punta Mosquito may be replaced with Isla Pájaros or Yalahau Cenote.

While pink flamingos are commonly seen between March and October, they are wild animals and their presence is not guaranteed.
