Temazcal Purification Ceremony (5 hours)
Your journey begins with pickup from your hotel as we proceed to the Dos Palmas Ecological Reserve, immersing ourselves in the traditions of a Mayan community. Here, you will partake in a purification ceremony where you'll also learn to sound the conch shell, a meaningful emblem of our connection to nature.
The experience continues with a temazcal ceremony led by a shaman, which includes a purification ritual within a sacred steam bath. Afterward, we’ll traverse the jungle and enjoy a refreshing swim in a cenote as night falls. To conclude, savor a hot Maya chocolate served in a handcrafted gourd while sharing a traditional dinner with a local Maya family.
Minimum age for this offering is 16. It is not advisable for individuals with mobility issues, claustrophobia, or heart conditions, nor for children or anyone under the influence of alcohol or hallucinogenic substances.
Days of operation: This experience is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Tulum & Gran Cenote Day Trip (7 Hours)
After hotel pickup, we head to the Tulum Archaeological Site, perched along the Caribbean Sea to the south of the Riviera Maya. Upon arrival, wander through the pre-Columbian ruins and discover the rich history of this ancient fortified city. Marvel at well-preserved structures, including the Temple of the God of Wind and the remarkable Tulum Castle.
Your adventure then leads to the Gran Cenote of Tulum, where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy snorkeling for approximately 1.5 hours. We will subsequently return to your hotel, arriving between 2:30 and 3 pm.
Tulum & Cobá Day Trip (9 Hours)
Cobá Archaeological Site, known for its impressive pyramids and remnants of the Maya civilization.
After concluding the Cobá tour, you’ll have 1 hour and 30 minutes for lunch at a local venue before we journey back to your hotel, with an expected arrival time between 4:30 and 5 pm.
Chichén Itza Day Trip (9 Hours)
Your day begins with a pickup from your hotel, leading us to one of the most significant Mayan archaeological locations in the Yucatán Peninsula: Chichén Itzá. This site is renowned as a major ceremonial center and is recognized among the New Seven Wonders of the World. Explore vital landmarks including the Temple of Kukulkan, the Temple of the Warriors, and the Ball Game, which played a crucial role in Mayan society.
After an insightful guided tour, you will have free time to further explore the site and enjoy a meal before we return to your hotel.
Ek Balam, Río Lagartos and Las Coloradas Day Trip (12 hours)
This excursion features the intriguing archaeological site of Ek Balam, where you will see the expansive Acropolis, the governor’s palace, and the largest known Maya monument. Observe areas where ancient sacrifices occurred and uncover the keys to the altar that guards the entrance to the land of the dead.
Our adventure continues with a boat tour through Río Lagartos, where we’ll search for flocks of flamingos and crocodiles, along with other unique regional wildlife, while hearing local legends about the “sea cockroach,” a symbol of good fortune.
Lastly, we arrive at Las Coloradas to witness the remarkable pink lakes created by high salt and mineral concentrations. Discover the striking similarities these waters share with the Dead Sea, where their density allows one to float effortlessly. We will then conclude our excursion and return to the starting point.
Mérida and Uxmal Day Trip (12 hours)
This trip offers a visit to the Uxmal archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site distinguished for its magnificent architecture and historical relevance. Marvel at the renowned Pyramid of the Magician and explore the Temple of the Turtles, famously used by female religious leaders in ancient times.
Following this, we proceed to Mérida, the capital of the Yucatán Peninsula, a city teeming with history and culture. Here, you’ll partake in a guided stroll through the historic center, admiring colorful colonial buildings, meandering through main avenues, as well as visiting the central square and a notable church reflecting the blend of Spanish and Indigenous heritage.
We will then visit a cacao museum to delve into the captivating realm of ancestral Maya chocolate. This includes a demonstration of the traditional method of transforming cacao beans into chocolate, alongside insights into its cultural and historical significance.
Our final stop is at a traditional Yucatecan hacienda, a previous luxurious residence for colonists and their workforce, where we will explore beautifully maintained gardens and learn more about the rich colonial history, before returning to the starting location.
