Cantabrian Brown Bear Sighting

Activity Details

We'll meet at the Interpretation Centre in the Natural Park of Somiedo at the designated time. Participants must arrive in their own vehicles, and we will follow the guide's car to the mountains, the natural habitat of the Cantabrian brown bear.

In the afternoon, we'll explore Somiedo searching for this important Iberian species at the best spotting locations, dependent on the day's weather.

With binoculars, you will have the opportunity to observe Cantabrian brown bears. In this area, it is common to see adult bears with cubs, as their population has increased significantly in recent years.

Additionally, we may also spot wild boars, deer, or chamois during the excursion. We will return to the original starting point in Pola de Somiedo after a total of 5.5 hours.
