Herculaneum Day Trip

Meet us at Piazza Giovanni Battista de Curtis, and we'll leave Sorrento for a trip to Ancient Rome to discover the ruins of Herculaneum.

We will board a train to the Roman city devastated by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 BC. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a guided tour of the archaeological site of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During the tour, we'll learn about the city's history and the daily life of its inhabitants. We will view mosaics, taverns, terrains, houses, and even skeletons. Herculaneum features numerous frescoes that decorate the walls of well-preserved buildings. Key sites include the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, the House of the Deer, and the Headquarters of the Augustal Priests.

Following our visit to Herculaneum, we'll return to the train station to head back to Sorrento, completing this 4-hour adventure.
