Pompeii Half-Day Trip

Visit the ruins of Pompeii and discover the secrets hidden under the ashes following the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Itinerary

After picking you up at your hotel or in Sorrento port, we will head North towards Pompeii, arriving in approximately 50 minutes.

We will explore one of the world's most famous archaeological sites and examine the impacts of Vesuvius' eruption. The city remained buried until its rediscovery in the 16th century.

The tour includes visits to some of Pompeii's main attractions. We will start at the forum, the Roman meeting place for business during this period.

As we navigate the ruins, we will learn about daily life for locals and visit the thermal baths and remains of public buildings such as the brothel, known for its erotic frescoes.

You will witness the contrasts between the tragic scenes of citizens trapped beneath the ashes and the grandeur of the wealthiest families' homes.

Before returning to Sorrento, you will have about 15 minutes of free time for souvenirs or a quick snack.

The tour concludes back at Sorrento's hotels around 2:30 pm.
