Necropolis of Pantalica Tour + Lunch

If you're in the Sicilian town of Sortino, don’t miss the opportunity to join a tour of the necropolis of Pantalica and an olive mill, including a delightful lunch.

Description

We will meet at the scheduled time at the Terra Surti Estate on the outskirts of Sicilian Sortino. From there, we will take a 1-hour walk to the necropolis of Pantalica, a World Heritage Site with over 5,000 tombs dating from the 13th century BC to the 17 BC. You will learn about its history while enjoying stunning landscapes of the canyon and a flowing stream.

After exploring the necropolis, we will return to the hacienda to learn about olive oil production at the olive mill, including a tasting of extra virgin olive oil, a staple of Mediterranean cuisine.

Following the tasting, enjoy a Sicilian lunch featuring typical bread, olives, cured cheese, salami, bruschetta with pâté, stuffed pizzolo, ricotta, and honey. Beverages include mineral water, white wine, or red wine.

This complete experience lasts approximately 4 hours.
