Olive Oil Tour: Mill + Tasting

On this visit to an olive oil mill in Sortino, we'll learn about the production process and enjoy an olive oil tasting and a traditional lunch. Discover the flavours of Sicily!

Delve into the World of Olive Oil

Italy is one of the main producers of olive oil in the Mediterranean, especially in Sicily. We will meet at the Terra Surti estate, located on the outskirts of Sortino. Here, we will visit the olive oil mill and see how olives are transformed into olive oil, learning about the various stages required to produce high-quality oil. We will also use virtual reality goggles to gain insight into the harvesting process, which includes shaking the olive trees. After a tour of approximately 1 hour, we will conclude our visit with a tasting of extra virgin olive oil.

Add a Delicious Lunch

If you choose this option, at the end of the visit, we will enjoy a traditional Sicilian lunch on the estate. The menu includes bread, olives, cured cheese, salami, bruschetta with pâté, stuffed pizzolo, ricotta, and honey. Drinks include mineral water, white wine, or red wine.
