Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Pantálica Lato Sortino car park to begin our hike around the Pantálica Nature Reserve.
The hike will take place within the nature reserve, located between the Calcinara and Anapo Rivers. It features deep gorges and significant archaeological sites dating back to the 13th century BC. This area is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
We will traverse the old excavated tombs in the rock and explore the Grotta dei Pistrelli, a notable cave. Additionally, we'll have the opportunity to swim in the Calcinara River.
After swimming, we'll walk upstream in the water and take a break on the shore. Participants are encouraged to bring a small snack to enjoy during this rest.
This 4-hour hike will conclude at the starting point.
