Day Trip to Charles Town
We’ll pick you up from your hotel starting at 10 am, then depart from Kingston towards the north of the island.
After an hour and a half, we’ll arrive in Charles Town, one of Jamaica’s largest Maroon communities. Here, we will visit the Maroon Museum, where you'll learn about the community's history and their fight for freedom.
The Maroons originated from Africa as slaves in the 18th century and played a significant role in Jamaican independence. Today, they identify as independent communities of ex-runaway slaves.
During your visit to Charles Town, you’ll have the opportunity to see locals performing traditional songs and dances.
Next, we’ll proceed to Buff Bay River for a refreshing dip, followed by a stop at a nearby restaurant for local cuisine (lunch not included).
After lunch, we’ll return to Kingston, with hotel drop-off expected around 3 pm.
