Day Trip to Charles Town

We’ll pick you up from your hotel starting at 10 am, then leave the Jamaican capital heading north. After an hour and a half, we’ll arrive at Charles Town, one of the country’s largest Maroon communities. Here, we’ll visit the Maroon Museum to explore the history of this community and their fight for freedom.

The Maroons are descendants of Africans brought as slaves in the 18th century and played a role in Jamaican independence. They identify as independent communities of ex-runaway slaves.

During our exploration of Charles Town, you’ll witness locals performing traditional songs and dances, providing an authentic experience.

Following this, we’ll proceed to Buff Bay River for a refreshing swim, and then visit a nearby restaurant to sample local cuisine (lunch not included).

After lunch, we’ll return to Kingston, arriving at your hotel by approximately 3 pm.
