Port Royal Tour

Follow in the footsteps of the pirates on this tour of Port Royal. We'll visit the fortress and discover the history of this ancient port city.

Description

At the indicated time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Kingston to begin a tour of one of the most famous sights in the Jamaican capital.

After about 30 minutes on the minibus, we’ll reach Port Royal, originally founded by the Spanish and once the biggest city in the Caribbean, until it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1692. During British rule, a Royal Navy base was located here. We'll learn about its secrets.

Port Royal is known for being a stronghold for pirates. Its location made it attractive for looting. You’ll discover stories about the notorious pirates as we stroll through the remains of the city.

We'll visit the fort of Port Royal, dating back to the 17th century, and see its cannons. We'll also visit the small museum at Fort Charles to learn about the past of the area.

If you would like to try some seafood, we'll take you to Gloria's restaurant for a meal (not included), where your table will be reserved.

After refuelling, we'll take you back to your hotel after a four-hour tour.
