Streets filled with the sounds of reggae, incredible art, and a special museum; there's much to be discovered on this day trip to Kingston from Ocho Ríos.
Day Trip to Kingston
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Ocho Ríos at 8 am and depart for Kingston.
After approximately an hour and a half, we'll reach the Bob Marley Museum, one of the tributes to this reggae legend located in the country. With our guide, you'll explore the museum and learn about Bob Marley's life and music. This is a must-see in Jamaica regardless of your interest in reggae.
Next, we'll visit the Devon House area, an old colonial house built in 1881. You will have time to replenish your energy (food and drinks not included) and can try traditional Jamaican patties.
Afterward, we'll visit National Heroes Park, the largest open space in Kingston. Established in 1783, many national heroes are buried here, including prime ministers and cultural leaders. You'll discover the history surrounding this iconic site.
Our next stop will be Downtown Kingston. We'll explore the lively streets and engage with members of a local NGO running an urban art project with community residents.
After this enriching experience, we'll return to Ocho Ríos by around 5 pm.
