Streets filled with the sounds of reggae, incredible art and a very special museum; there's so much to be discovered on this day trip to Kingston from Ocho Ríos.
Day Trip to Kingston
You will be picked up from your hotel in Ocho Ríos at 8 am, beginning your journey to Kingston.
After approximately an hour and a half, you will arrive at the Bob Marley Museum, a significant tribute to the reggae legend. Guided exploration of the museum will provide insight into Bob Marley's life and his impactful music, making it a key stop in Jamaica.
Next, you will visit the Devon House area, an old colonial house built in 1881. Here, you will have time for refreshments (food and drinks not included), with an opportunity to try traditional Jamaican patties.
Following this, the itinerary includes a visit to the National Heroes Park, the largest open space in Kingston, established in 1783. Many national heroes are interred here, including prime ministers and cultural leaders, and you will learn about their stories and significance.
The final stop will be in Downtown Kingston, where you will explore lively streets and engage with members of a local NGO who run an urban art project with local residents.
You will return to Ocho Ríos around 5 pm.
