Activity Details

We will pick you up at your hotel in Runaway Bay at the scheduled time and take you to the Martha Brae River, located on the northern coast of Jamaica.

Upon arrival at Rafter's Village, which features leisure facilities like bars and swimming pools, as well as beautiful lawns, we will visit Miss Martha's Herb Garden, known for its endemic plants with medicinal properties. After this visit, we will board the bamboo raft for our ride along the Martha Brae River.

During the 1 hour and 15 minutes ride covering 4 km (2.4 mi), a guide will narrate the famous legend of Martha Brae and share insights into the local flora and fauna.

The bamboo raft ride is considered one of the main attractions for visitors in Runaway Bay, having been enjoyed by numerous celebrities, including Chuck Norris, Jason Derulo, Johnny Cash, and royalty like Queen Elizabeth II of England.

Finally, we will arrive at Rafter's Rest for your transfer back to your hotel, concluding a total of 4 hours for the activity.
