Why visit the Old Jail?
The Old Jail is an iconic site in St. Augustine and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Admission allows you to learn about prisoners' conditions in the late 19th century through performances by actors portraying both the sheriffs and dangerous criminals of the time. The Old Jail features stories about prisoners and the families of bailiffs who lived nearby. Restored in 1993, it emulates a Renaissance building.

The Old Jail is open during the following times:
Sunday to Thursday: 9 am to 4:30 pmFridays and Saturdays: 9 am to 5:30 pm
The dramatized tours take place every 20 minutes, daily.
