Culture + Shopping Tour Ciudad del Este

The western part of Paraguay is home to many different communities. Join us to learn about their legacy on this shopping and cultural tour in Ciudad del Este, the capital of Alto Paraná.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll begin this cultural tour around Ciudad del Este, from the Centro Comercial Shopping del Este.

The first stop will be outside the Alkhaulafa Al-Rashdeen Mosque, where we'll learn about the legacy of the Muslim community in Ciudad del Este. Next, we'll visit the San Blas Cathedral, whose design resembles a boat.

We will discover the contrasting cultures at Chiang Kai-Shek Park, created by the Paraguayan Chinese community. Close by is the El Mensú History Museum, featuring historical objects from the Chaco War, crafts from the Guaraní people, and tools and machinery items.

Next, we'll visit the Feria de Hortigranjeros de Ciudad del Este (Ciudad del Este's Farmer's Market), available from Wednesday to Friday, where we will find a variety of Paraguayan products including fruits, vegetables, and meat.

After the market, we'll go to a local restaurant for a chance to grab something small to eat. Once we've eaten, we'll return to the Centro Comercial Shopping Cellshop for more local purchases.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point to conclude the tour after 4 hours.
