Between 9 and 10 am, we will collect you from your accommodation in Foz do Iguaçu and begin our journey to the Itaipu Dam, an impressive hydroelectric facility situated on the Paraná River, featuring a 120-meter net head drop.

Upon arrival, the experience starts with a brief 10-minute film detailing the fascinating history of this shared dam between Brazil and Paraguay. Did you know that Itaipu is acclaimed as the largest electricity generator worldwide? Quite remarkable!

Next, we will head to the Spillway viewpoint, where we can witness the release of excess water from the reservoir. Following this, we will pause at the main viewpoint to take in the impressive dam wall constructed from concrete, rocks, and earth materials.

Our adventure continues as we delve into the processes that enable the production of 103,098,366 Watts per hour. This segment includes a tour of the power production facility, the control center, the water outlet channel, and the gallery housing the 20 turbine units.

Ultimately, we will conclude our exploration of one of the most significant hydroelectric plants globally and return to your accommodation in Foz do Iguaçu, expected to arrive by 1 pm.
