Tour Details

We'll meet at 11 am on St John Street ready to start our tour of the old town.

Our first stop will be at the famous Stirling Castle, historically and architecturally significant, where many Scottish kings and queens, including Mary Queen of Scots, have lived.

Also on the tour we'll visit the Holy Rude Church, where King James VI was crowned King of Scots in 1567. We'll continue to the Stirling Cemetery to learn about other notable figures from the city's history.

Next, we will visit the Stirling Old Town Jail. The Victorian old Tolbooth Jail was deemed overcrowded and the worst prison in Britain before its transformation into the Stirling Old Town Jail. The building has seen reforms and restorations, allowing visitors to learn about life as a prisoner. We will explore other significant sites in Stirling, providing insights into this fascinating city.

Finally, after one and a half hours of exploring, we'll conclude the tour.
