Royal Canal Boat Tour

Enjoy a boat trip along the Djurgården canal. You will sail through an island full of parks and forests, experiencing the landscape of one of the greenest areas of Stockholm.

Itinerary

We will depart from the Strömkajen pier and head east, leaving the city center behind to explore the Royal Canal that crosses the island of Djurgården.

The island has belonged to the Royal Family since the fifteenth century and serves as a tranquil, green haven on the edge of the capital. The Royal Canal was constructed in 1834 commissioned by the Swedish king to improve access to various parts of the island.

During the boat trip along the Djurgården Royal Canal, enjoy views of one of the most peaceful areas of Stockholm. With audioguides available in 11 languages, you will learn about the buildings and monuments along this cruise. The island features parks and museums such as Skansen and Vasa, boat wharfs, and lakes inhabited by herons and owls.

After one hour and 10 minutes of enjoying this hidden corner, we will return to the Strömkajen pier.
