Join us for an exclusive private day trip to Uppsala, Sweden's 4th largest city, rich in Viking heritage and archaeological sites!

Uppsala Private Day Trip from Stockholm

The trip begins with a pickup from your hotel in central Stockholm, followed by an exciting day trip to Uppsala. Historically, this city was the site of royal coronations and funerals.

Upon arrival, our first stop is the Uppsala Cathedral, built in 1273, which is the largest cathedral in Scandinavia and the seat of the Swedish archbishop.

After 30 minutes at the cathedral, we will visit Gamla Uppsala, where you will have an hour to explore this Viking-era archaeological site. Discover burial mounds and the on-site museum to learn more about Sweden's Viking past. You can also visit Anders Celsius' grave, among other significant figures buried here.

Next, we will go to Uppsala Castle, a 16th-century structure. Enjoy 1 hour at the castle to learn about the Sture murders. You will have the opportunity to grab lunch at local restaurants.

Our final stop will be at Uppsala University, with a 20-minute visit to the main university building built in 1887, exploring its history dating back to 1477.

After 7 hours of exploring Sweden's history, we will return you to your hotel in Stockholm.
