Traditional Christmas Market Walking Tour

We'll meet at 4 pm at 19 Place Broglie. From this central point, we'll head to Place Kléber, where one of the most famous Christmas markets in Strasbourg is located.

Here we'll see the giant Christmas tree around which the different stalls are distributed. As we walk around the decorated stalls and admire the lights, we'll explain the origins and traditions of the Christmas markets in the Alsace region.

Place Kléber's Christkindelsmärik is the oldest Christmas market in Europe, dating back to 1570. From late November to early January, Strasbourg is considered the Christmas capital. During the tour, we'll discover popular products, including sampling the vin chaud (mulled wine) and kugelhopf cake.

The tour will continue by visiting the Notre-Dame Cathedral market, where you'll see Christmas toys and decorations that reflect a fusion of French and German cultures.

At 6 pm we'll conclude the tour at the cathedral market. You can then visit the stalls that interest you on your own.
