Shakespeare's Birthplace

The William Shakespeare house serves as a sanctuary for fans of the writer. Located on Henley Street, it introduces visitors to his childhood, teenage years, and early marriage to Anne Hathaway. The gardens lead to the 16th-century house, which retains its original wooden beams, reflecting its Elizabethan character.

During the tour, visitors can explore the rooms where Shakespeare wrote significant literary works, along with places where he lived and played. This site has attracted many writers over the years, including Charles Dickens, John Keats, Walter Scott, and Thomas Hardy.

“Famous Beyond Words” Exhibition

Since 2016, coinciding with the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's birth, the house has featured the "Famous Beyond Words" exhibition, showcasing Shakespeare's life and major works.
