Description

At 6:30 pm, we'll meet at Piazza Guglielmo Marconi in Stresa. From there, we'll go to the pier and start a boat ride on Lake Maggiore to enjoy one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy.

The first part of the trip will be dedicated to exploring the coast of the Borromean Islands. We'll sail by the islet of San Giovanni, admire the botanical gardens of Isola Madre from the boat, see the 17th-century palace on Isola Bella, and cruise around Isola dei Pescatori ('Fisherman's Island').

As we sail along, we'll admire the elegant villas of Baveno and the gardens of Verbania. Leaving Piedmont toward Lombardy, we'll observe the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, a 14th-century monastery on a cliff with a 15-meter-high bell tower.

At 7:30 pm, the boat ride will conclude at the starting point.
