Isola Bella & Isola dei Pescatori Tourist Boat
Want to visit two of the most emblematic islands of Lake Maggiore? A tourist boat will be waiting at the pier in Piazza Guglielmo Marconi. Setting sail, we will leave Stresa and head to Isola Superiore, better known as Isola dei Pescatori.
Upon arrival, you'll stroll through the narrow streets of this old fishing village until you reach the Church of San Vittore, the most important monument on the island. There are also several bars and restaurants to sample local cuisine.
Following your visit to Isola dei Pescatori, you can board the boat to Isola Bella, renowned in the Borromean archipelago. Unlike the previous stop, Isola Bella features a fairy-tale town with gardens filled with fountains and flowers.
The name Isola Bella comes from its Baroque palace, built under Charles III Borromeo in honor of his wife Isabella. You can explore the palace and its elegant halls with extravagant ornamentation.
The boat's final stop will return you to Stresa, with an option to go back to Isola dei Pescatori if desired.
