Madre & Bella Islands Hop-On Hop-Off Boat

Madre Island is the largest of the Borromean Islands. To get there, hop on the boat at the pier in Stresa's Piazza Guglielmo Marconi. This island features botanical gardens spanning 8 hectares, showcasing camellias, magnolias, cypresses, and palm trees, along with various plant species from Africa. While exploring, you may also encounter peacocks, parrots, and pheasants. Additionally, you will see the exterior of Borromeo Palace, a mansion from the 17th century.

After exploring Madre Island, you can take the boat to Bella Island, often regarded as the most beautiful of the Borromean Islands. Enjoy ample time to discover the island's charm and beauty. The final stop will be Stresa, after which the boat will resume its route, allowing you to revisit Madre Island if desired.

Hours

The hop-on hop-off boat operates from March to November, setting sail every day from 10 am - 6 pm. Please note that timetables may change.

How does it work?

You will have access to the boat for an entire day, with departures from Stresa to Madre and Bella Islands. You can board the boat as many times as you wish during its operating hours.
