Suances Surfing Class

Join the Suances Surfing Class to learn surfing in one of the areas with the largest waves in Cantabria. Meeting will occur at the surf school on Miguel Delibes street in Suances, which has instructors including a runner-up in the European Surfing Championship and a bronze medal holder.

The class begins with an explanation of how to use the surfing equipment, followed by a briefing on the natural characteristics of Suances, emphasizing the importance of understanding beach conditions, sea currents, and winds before surfing.

Safety measures will be discussed, and participants will perform a warm-up at La Concha de Suances beach, located near Punta de Marzán by the San Martín de la Arena estuary.

After warming up, participants will start surfing. Though initially challenging, confidence on the board will increase as the session progresses. The location, in the Bay of Biscay at La Concha cove, offers ideal conditions for beginner surfers. Depending on sea conditions, there may also be an opportunity to surf at the nearby Playa de Los Locos.

The 2-hour experience concludes with a return to the starting point.
