Set off from Sucre and visit a Quechua village on our private Tarabuco day trip. You'll immerse yourself in local culture and learn about the preservation of ancestral customs.
Options
When booking, choose between two options. Both include hotel pick-up and drop-off, transport by minibus, and an English-speaking guide.
Half-Day Tour
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre and drive to the Quechua village of Tarabuco, observing the arid landscapes of the Bolivian plains along the way.
Tarabuco is known for its traditional market, where families from the Yampara Indigenous community sell their products every Sunday. We'll explore this vibrant market and observe the practice of bartering. You can browse shops offering food, textiles, and handicrafts while learning about Yampara history.
After 4 hours in Tarabuco, we'll return to Sucre.
Full-Day Tour
If you prefer to spend more time in Tarabuco, select the full-day tour. After pick-up from your hotel, we will drive for 1 hour and 30 minutes to Tarabuco.
Upon arrival at Tarabuco Market, see how families from the Yampara community engage in buying, selling, and exchanging local products and handicrafts every Sunday. After exploring, we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch, which includes a starter, main course, and dessert.
This 6-hour excursion concludes as we return to Sucre.
