Tour of Sucre's Churches
At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to begin this tour of the churches of Sucre. The tour will start at the Recoleta Monastery, founded by Franciscan monks in 1601. This complex includes a church and a museum.
We'll explore its cloisters, including one with an ancient tree and another offering views of the Churuquella hill. Inside the church, we'll see a choir carved in wood and a collection of colonial and republican paintings.
The next stop will be the convent of Santa Clara, where we'll observe paintings by renowned Bolivian artists, wooden sculptures, and a 17th-century organ used for significant ceremonies.
Next, we will visit the convent of San Felipe Neri, showcasing the wealth of colonial society. From its terraces adorned with towers and domes, we will enjoy a view of Sucre's bell towers.
After a 4-hour tour of Sucre's churches, we'll return you to the hotel.
