The tour will start at the Recoleta Monastery, founded by Franciscan monks in 1601, featuring a church and a museum. We will explore its cloisters and view an ancient tree and vistas of Churuquella hill. Inside the church, we will see a choir carved in wood and a collection of colonial and republican era paintings.
The next stop will be the convent of Santa Clara, where we will observe paintings by renowned Bolivian artists, wooden sculptures, and a 17th-century organ used for important ceremonies.
Then, we'll visit the convent of San Felipe Neri, showcasing the wealth of colonial society. From its terraces adorned with towers and domes, we will appreciate the panoramic view of Sucre's bell towers.
After a 4-hour tour of Sucre's churches, we'll take you back to the hotel.
