Tour of Sucre's Churches

At the selected time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to begin this tour of the churches of Sucre, a city with significant religious architectural heritage. The tour will start at the Recoleta Monastery, founded by Franciscan monks in 1601. This complex includes a church and a museum.

We'll walk through its cloisters, discovering an ancient tree and picturesque views of the Churuquella hill. We will enter the church to admire a choir carved in wood and a collection of colonial and republican paintings.

The next stop is the convent of Santa Clara, where we will see paintings by notable Bolivian artists, wooden sculptures, and a 17th-century organ used in important ceremonies.

Then, we will visit the convent of San Felipe Neri, showcasing the wealth of colonial society. From its terraces adorned with towers and tiled domes, we will enjoy a panoramic view of Sucre's bell towers.

After a 4-hour tour of Sucre's churches, we'll take you back to the hotel.
