Yampara Community Day Trip
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre and set off on a 1-hour 30-minute road trip.
On this day trip, we'll visit a Yampara community. The Yampara are one of the most ancient Indigenous Peoples in South America. We'll learn about their customs, deeply rooted in Bolivian cultural values.
We'll see the typical adobe houses and meet the locals to learn about their way of life and traditions. We will hear fascinating legends and stories about this place.
Additionally, we'll visit a chichería, which are typical bars in these communities. We'll see some of the handicrafts made by the Yampara, such as their woven textiles. During our visit, we'll observe how the women create colorful fabrics and learn about their use of plant-based products to make natural medicines.
We will then return to Sucre and drop you off at your hotel at 2 pm.
