Experience Bolivia's traditions and customs first-hand and learn about an ancient civilization from the Oronta area on our day trip from Sucre to visit a Yampara community.

Yampara Community Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre for a 1-hour 30-minute road trip.

On this day trip, we'll visit a Yampara community, one of the most ancient Indigenous Peoples in South America. We'll learn about their customs, which have been preserved for hundreds of years, and how they maintain Bolivian cultural values today.

You will see the typical adobe houses and meet locals to learn about their way of life and traditions. Hear fascinating legends and stories about the community.

We'll also visit a chichería, the typical bars in these communities. Observe handicrafts made by the Yampara, including woven textiles. You will see women making colourful fabrics and learn how they create natural medicines using plant-based products.

Finally, we will depart from the Yampara community and return to Sucre, dropping you off at your hotel around 2 pm.
