Day Trip to a Yampara Community

Your adventure begins at 8 am, with a pickup from your hotel in Sucre. From there, we will journey for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Our destination is a vibrant Yampara community, known as one of the oldest Indigenous groups in South America. During our visit, we will delve into their time-honored customs that have persisted for centuries, gaining insight into how they preserve their cultural heritage in modern times.

As we explore, you will encounter traditional adobe houses and engage with local residents to gain a deeper understanding of their lifestyle and traditions. Additionally, captivating legends and stories unique to the region will be shared, enriching your experience.

We will also stop by a chichería, a typical communal bar where you can immerse yourself in local social life. Furthermore, you will have the chance to admire the intricate handicrafts produced by the Yampara, including various woven textiles. During our visit, observe the artistic process as women create vibrant fabrics and discover how they utilize natural materials for traditional medicines.

As our day comes to a close, we will bid farewell to the Yampara community and make our way back to Sucre, arriving at your hotel around 2 pm.
