Yampara Community Day Trip
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre and set off on our 1-hour 30-minute road trip.
On this day trip, we'll visit a Yampara community. The Yampara are one of the most ancient Indigenous Peoples in South America. We'll learn about their customs, which date back hundreds of years, and how they maintain Bolivian cultural values today.
We'll see typical adobe houses and meet the locals to learn about their way of life and traditions. Additionally, we'll hear legends and stories about this place.
We will visit a chichería, the typical bars of these communities, and observe some handicrafts made by the Yampara, including woven textiles. During our visit, we'll see how women create colorful fabrics and learn about their methods for making natural medicines.
It will then be time to say goodbye to the Yampara community and return to Sucre, with a drop-off at your hotel at 2 pm.
