Yamparáez 2-Day Trip
Day 1
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sucre and take you to the village of Yamparáez, a 1-hour journey. This Bolivian town predominantly consists of residents of Quechua origin, who maintain the customs of the Yampara Indigenous community.
In Yamparáez, we'll explore the community's agriculture and handmade textile production. A local named Daysi will welcome us and share her family's daily life. We will assist in preparing a typical lunch, which includes a starter, a main course, and a drink, before taking a walk through the surrounding hills. The day concludes with dinner and overnight accommodation in Daysi's home.
Day 2
After breakfast, we'll spend the morning learning about significant community traditions, including textile arts and music. Locals will perform music using instruments made from reeds and other natural materials. After lunch, we will return to Sucre, dropping you off at your hotel around 3:30 pm.
Accommodation
This trip includes 1 night's accommodation in a double room in the home of a local family in Yamparáez.
