Jerome Tour + Verde Canyon Train

Pick-up is at your hotel in Phoenix at 6:30 am to start the route through the Verde Valley, offering panoramic views of Mingus Mountain and the Mogollon Rim.

First, we'll stop at Montezuma Castle National Monument, a well-preserved site with over 700 years of history. Next, we'll visit Tuzigoot National Monument, built by the same local tribe as Montezuma.

Continuing, we will explore Jerome, known for its significant mining traditions since 1800. We'll walk through its historic streets to discover its secrets and stories, including why it was called the Wickedest City in the West.

Next, we'll board the iconic Verde Canyon train. From comfortable seats, we’ll enjoy views of Verde Valley, a tasty snack, and learn about the railroad's history, which dates back over 100 years. The train travels through the canyon's tight spaces, providing close views of the red rocks. At nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, we will enjoy a lunch while passing Sedona and the waters of the Verde River.

After this experience, we return to Phoenix, concluding the excursion around 6:30 pm.
