Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at base camp located 46 km (28 miles) from Höfn to start an offroad tour of Iceland's black sand beaches.

After a brief introduction, we'll board a 4x4 and head to the black sand beaches in Suðurfjörur. Along the way, we'll see the ruins of the first local airport and the Hvanneyjarviti lighthouse, an ideal photo location.

The 4x4 tour continues to Höfn port, where we may see seals while enjoying views of the surrounding mountains. Then, we'll explore the black sand beaches, revealing a unique landscape in Iceland.

Before concluding our adventure, we'll stop at a glacial lagoon near Fláajökull or Heinabergsjökull, home to reindeer. This will be an unforgettable experience!

We will return to base camp after a 3-hour tour.
