Vatnajökull Glacier Snowmobile Tour

Looking for a unique experience in Iceland? On this snowmobile tour of Vatnajökull, we'll drive over Iceland's largest and Europe's second-largest glacier.

Description

At the time indicated, we'll meet at base camp located 46 km (28 miles) from Höfn to start this snowmobile ride around the Vatnajökull glacier. After a brief safety talk, we'll board the vehicle and explore the snowy landscape of Vatnajökull. Stops will be made to enjoy views of the glacier and surrounding area. Stories and facts about the glacier, including its average thickness of 400 metres (1310 feet), will be shared during the tour. Three hours later, we'll conclude the experience at the initial meeting point.

Requirements

You'll ride on a double snow bike, and the combined weight of both passengers mustn't surpass 180 kg (397 lbs).You must have a valid driving license, equivalent to European Type B.You must be in good physical condition to participate.Children aged 6-12 will ride as passengers and must always be accompanied by an adult.
