Immerse yourself in the dance of the aurora borealis on this northern lights tour in Gimsøya. We'll navigate the Lofoten Islands and capture the best pictures of this natural phenomenon.

Northern Lights Photography Tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Svolvær at 8:30 pm and head towards the island of Gimsøya, in the western part of the Lofoten Islands archipelago.

After approximately 40 minutes of driving, we'll arrive at the first stop on this photography tour, Gimsøy Kirke, the perfect place to experience the Northern Lights for the first time. We'll set our sights upwards and share insider tricks to capture the dance of lights across the Nordic night sky on camera.

We'll continue through Gimsøya making stops at different beaches and viewpoints where you'll likewise be able to enjoy the aurora borealis from different perspectives.

During the final stretch of our adventure, we'll head south to cross the Gimsøya bridge, which will take us directly to Lyngvær, our final observation point. From here, we'll continue to marvel at the Northern Lights and learn about the science behind them before we head back to the starting point.

With smiles on our faces and a camera full of breathtaking photos, we'll finish the tour back at your hotel in Svolvær at about 1:30 am.
