On this tour, you'll discover the Namib desert's impressive lunar landscape and the ancient plants that grow in Welwitschia.

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in a 4x4 jeep to start the Namib Desert Tour, leaving the city of Swakopmund for the Swakop River Canyon, known as Moon Valley.

The area is named for the erosion around the Swakop River 500 million years ago. You will observe rock formations reminiscent of the moon's surface, contrasting with the city atmosphere.

After taking photos of these formations, we'll proceed to Goanikontes Oasis for a meal in a serene environment. This site was an old farm built in 1848 and later transformed into a hotel.

Next, we'll visit Welwitschia, which is home to the Welwitschia Mirabilis, discovered by botanist Friedrich Welwitschia in 1859. This plant can live for up to 1000 years and thrives in the desert's extreme conditions.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to try traditional food, including fat cookies (fried dough), oshifima (porridge with white beans and spinach, sometimes with meat), and mopane worms (fried caterpillar).

After enjoying the meal and views, we'll return to Swakopmund and drop you off at your hotel.
