Sandboarding in the Namib

Activity Details

At the established time, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Swakopmund and you'll set off towards the Namib, considered the oldest desert in the world. Once there, you'll be provided with all the necessary equipment to surf the dunes.

Sandboarding is an effective way to enjoy the grandeur of the desert and some of the highest sand dunes in the world. You'll be taken to six different slopes, accommodating varying skill levels, so you can choose what suits you best.

If you prefer not to stand on the sandboard, you can opt for lie down sandboarding, using a special board to slide face-first down the dunes, achieving speeds of up to 50 miles per hour (80 kilometers per hour).

After several runs down the dunes, you will be able to enjoy traditional snacks before being taken back to your hotel in Swakopmund.
