Southern Highlands Kangaroo & Wombat Tour

Meet the kangaroos and wombats of the Southern Highlands on this excursion from Sydney. We'll also visit the Fitzroy Falls and three national parks.

Description

From Sydney, join an excursion to see kangaroos and wombats in the wild. The journey begins at a selected meeting point at the designated time, proceeding south to explore national parks and waterfalls. The route follows one of Australia's most scenic roads towards the renowned Fitzroy Falls, where water cascades from over 80 metres (262 ft) above, set within Morton National Park. Visitors can observe local bird species while taking in the view.

Next, the itinerary includes Carrington Falls in Budderoo National Park, featuring eucalyptus forests and a 90-metre (295-foot) drop. The excursion concludes in Kangaroo Valley in the Southern Highlands, allowing time to encounter wombats and kangaroos in their natural habitat. A barbecue lunch or picnic will be provided based on availability. Participants will have some free time to interact with the animals before returning to the starting point. The total duration of the excursion is between 10 and 10.5 hours.
