Meet the kangaroos and wombats of the Southern Highlands on this day trip from Sydney. We'll also visit the Fitzroy Falls and three national parks.
Day Trip Details
If you're in Sydney and want to see kangaroos and wombats in the wild, meet at your chosen meeting point at the designated time. Our route includes travel south along a scenic road, leading us to the stunning Fitzroy Falls, where water cascades from over 80 metres (262 ft).
Located in Morton National Park, these waterfalls descend orange sandstone cliffs, presenting a remarkable view. While exploring this area, there will be opportunities to observe various birds near Fitzroy Falls.
We will also stop at Carrington Falls in Budderoo National Park. This park features eucalyptus forests, a 90-metre (295-foot) drop, and diverse local flora and fauna.
Next, we will visit Kangaroo Valley in the Southern Highlands to see wombats and kangaroos in their natural habitat. A barbecue lunch or a picnic will be provided, depending on availability, with time to explore and interact with these animals.
The trip lasts between 10 and 10.5 hours before returning to the starting point.
