Segway Tour of Syracuse

We'll meet at your selected time at the parking lot by the port of Syracuse. The tour begins with a familiarization session with the segways before exploring the historic city.

Syracuse was the most important city in Sicily during Ancient Greek times. The tour will cover Hellenistic remains, including the city walls and the Temple of Apollo, as the first two sites.

Continuing along Corso Matteotti, we will reach Archimedes Square, named after the famed Greek engineer and mathematician. Further along, we'll see the elegant fountain of Artemis and visit the Cathedral of Syracuse. Adjacent, the Benevento de Bosco Palace, an 18th-century baroque building, and the Town Hall are located. Next, we'll head to the Maniace Castle, a 13th-century military fortress.

The tour will progress to the Lungomare di Levante seafront promenade, crossing the Umberto Bridge and continuing to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears.

We will also visit the Regional Archaeological Museum, the Catacombs of St. John, the theatre and amphitheatre, and the Ear of Dionysius, a limestone cave. The tour will conclude as we return to the meeting point three hours after departure.
