Tour Details
After being picked up from your hotel at the designated time, you'll begin your cultural road trip of Bali from Batubulan to Kintamani. Explore the island from north to south, experiencing different aspects of Balinese life and culture.
Your first stop will be the village of Batubulan, where your immersion into Balinese culture will begin with a performance of Barong and Kris, a traditional dance-drama depicting a classical tale of good versus evil. You will then visit a typical home in Singapadu and head to Bedulu to see Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave), a 9th-century temple significant for its Hindu and Buddhist symbolism.
Enjoy the stunning tropical scenery, particularly the sloping rice terraces in Tegalalang, an impressive feat of ancient engineering with sustainable water management since the 9th century.
In Sebatu, visit the Pura Tirta Empul, a water temple adjacent to a holy spring where Balinese Hindus bathe for ritual purification, believing in the waters' healing properties.
Passing coffee and mandarin orange plantations, you will arrive at Kintamani, located over 4,500 ft (1,400 m) above sea level. Here, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Batur, an active volcano, and Lake Batur within its caldera.
After an incredible day, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Bali after a total of 9 hours.
