Description
After being picked up from your hotel at 8:30 am, you'll begin your cultural road trip of Bali from Batubulan to Kintamani. Explore different aspects of Balinese life and culture.
Your first stop will be the village of Batubulan to experience a performance of Barong and Kris, a traditional dance that tells a 12th-century tale of good versus evil, showcasing the spirituality and creativity of Balinese culture through ornate costumes.
Visit a typical home in Singapadu to see day-to-day life in a Balinese village, then head to Bedulu to visit Goa Gajah, the Elephant Cave, a significant 9th-century temple featuring Hindu and Buddhist symbolism.
Admire the stunning scenery, particularly the sloping rice terraces in Tegalalang, which follow the hills and demonstrate a sustainable water management system used since the 9th century.
In Sebatu, visit the Pura Tirta Empul, a water temple next to a holy spring where Balinese Hindus bathe for ritual purification, believing in its healing properties.
Driving past coffee and mandarin orange plantations, arrive at Kintamani, located over 4,500 ft (1,400 m) above sea level, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the active Mount Batur and Lake Batur in its caldera.
After an incredible day, you'll be dropped off at your hotel around 5:30 pm. Staying in Ubud is recommended to reduce travel time.
