Join us on our day trip to Puerto Grau, the Ite Wetlands and the Tacahuay Hills in Tacna.

Puerto Grau, Ite Wetlands & Tacahuay Hills Day Trip

We will pick you up at 8 am from your hotel in Tacna for a 40-minute drive to our first destination. En route, we will stop at the Boca de Rio seaside resort, known for its rock and sand pools, and Burros Gorge for a 30-minute walk to explore its greenery and take photos.

Upon arrival at Puerto Grau, we will walk to the Sundial, a time-measuring device used by local Indigenous communities. You will learn how it functions and how its circles reflect sunlight to indicate time.

Next, we will travel to the Ite Wetlands, which host over 140 species of birds, including flamingos, Andean ducks, macaws, and seagulls.

After exploring the wetlands, you will have time for lunch in Ite. Our final destination will be the Tacahuay Hills, a protected area with notable scenery marked by mist, where we will take a walk.

You will be dropped back off at your hotel at 4 pm.
