Puerto Grau, Ite Wetlands & Tacahuay Hills Day Trip
We will pick you up at 8 am from your hotel in Tacna for a 40-minute drive to our first destination.
En route, we'll stop at attractions such as the Boca de Rio seaside resort known for its rock and sand pools and the Burros Gorge. Here, we will take a 30-minute walk to see the local greenery.
Upon arrival at Puerto Grau, an important coastal port, we will visit the Sundial, used by Indigenous communities to measure time. We will learn about its functionality and how it marks the hours.
Next, we'll proceed to the Ite Wetlands, home to over 140 species of birds, including flamingos, Andean ducks, macaws, and seagulls.
After exploring this natural area, you will have free time for lunch in Ite. Our final stop will be the Tacahuay Hills, a protected area characterized by mist, where we will go on a walk.
You will be returned to your hotel by 4 pm.
