Tacna Food Tour
After being picked up from your hotel in Tacna, we will start our food tour. First, we will visit a local market to learn about ingredients used in traditional dishes like ceviche and causa limeña. This part of the tour focuses on selecting best quality products before heading to a restaurant to explore the history and traditions of Peruvian gastronomy.
Next, we will visit two restaurants to see how they prepare their delicious dishes. After demonstrations, we will sample the chefs' creations. The tour lasts for 2 hours before we return you to your hotel.
Tour with a Cooking Class (4 hours)
If you seek more engagement, this option is ideal. We will pick you up from your hotel and head to a local market to select quality ingredients for a dish prepared in the restaurant. You'll be assisted by an expert chef as you prepare one of Tacna's traditional dishes, such as ceviche, causa, aji de gallina, or lomo saltado. At the end of the class, you'll taste the dishes you've made, and the best one will receive a prize!
