Free Tour of Jiantan Mountain

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Jiantan subway station, at exit 2. Then we'll walk to the trails of Jiantan Mountain to start our hiking tour.

During our free tour, we'll explore a tropical forest, admiring different temples and making stops at viewpoints with views of Taipei.

You'll see the skyscrapers of the Xinyi financial district, the Keelung River, and Songshan airport. We'll also learn about the military past of Jiantan Mountain, encountering the entrance of old bunkers and guard posts.

As we head back down the mountain, we'll see the Miramar Ferris wheel, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Dazhi Bridge among other iconic places.

After a 3-hour hike, we'll conclude our free tour of Jiantan Mountain outside Dazhi Metro Station.

Optional bike tour

If you want, we can end the free tour at Yuanshan Station instead of Dazhi Subway Station. In this option, we will do the additional part of the tour on Taipei's public bikes. You will have to pay for the rental on the day of.
