Tea Tour in Pinglin and Maokong

Are you in Taipei and enjoy drinking tea? This tea tour through Pinglin and Maokong will explore the most important regions of tea production in Taiwan in just one day.

Description

At the designated time, we'll meet at Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station to leave Taipei and begin this tea tour through Pinglin and Maokong. This journey will reveal the many stages of tea—how it goes from seed to your mug.

The adventure includes a sightseeing trip on the Maokong Gondola for views of southern Taipei, followed by a walk along one of Maokong's paths surrounded by tea gardens.

The tour continues with a visit to a tea production centre, focusing on Tieguanyin and Baozhong teas.

You'll have a break to try local cuisine at one of the many teahouses in Maokong, known for their views of the Taipei Basin.

The tour proceeds to the Pinglin District to admire the Thousand-Island Lake and the Bagua Tea Garden.

Finally, we will visit the Pinglin Tea Museum to learn about the history and evolution of Taiwanese tea. The tour concludes with a visit to a local tea shop, where we'll discuss the art of preparing and tasting Taiwanese tea.

After eight and a half hours, the tea tour through Pinglin and Maokong will end back at our starting point in Taipei.
