Are you in Taipei and enjoy drinking tea? This tea tour through Pinglin and Maokong will explore the most important regions of tea production in Taiwan in just one day.

Description

At the designated time, we'll meet at Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station to leave Taipei and begin this tea tour through Pinglin and Maokong. This journey will reveal the stages of tea, from seed to cup.

This adventure will start with a sightseeing trip on the Maokong Gondola, offering views of the south of Taipei. Following the gondola ride, we'll walk along one of Maokong's paths amid tea gardens.

Next, we will visit a tea production centre to discover the main features of Tieguanyin and Baozhong teas.

We will take a break to try out local cuisine at one of the teahouses in Maokong, a location known for its views of the Taipei Basin.

The final part of this tour takes us to the Pinglin District, where we can admire the beauty of the Thousand-Island Lake and the Bagua Tea Garden.

We will conclude with a visit to the Pinglin Tea Museum, learning about the history and evolution of Taiwanese tea. The tour finishes at a local tea shop, discussing the art of preparing and tasting Taiwanese tea.

After eight and a half hours, the tea tour through Pinglin and Maokong will end back at our starting point in Taipei.
