Lahemaa National Park Day Trip

On this tour, you'll explore one of the most beautiful natural areas in Estonia, admiring the landscapes of Lahemaa and its nearby villages.

Tour Details

We'll begin our journey at the Tallinn Tourist Information Office, located in the historic heart of Estonia's capital.

Our road trip lasts about an hour, passing through the green landscapes surrounding the Jägala waterfall. Depending on the season, our first stop will be either Sagadi or Palmse Manor, part of a grand complex that includes the Forest Museum. At both locations, you’ll learn about the local wildlife and plants of Lahemaa National Park.

Next, we’ll visit either the fishing village of Altja or Käsmu, based on the time of year. Both villages on Lahemaa's eastern coast provide insight into local life and opportunities to explore nearby forests and marshes.

Our final stop will be a walk through the Viru Bog, where a boardwalk leads to an observation tower, offering a view of the striking contrast between the dense vegetation and the clear waters of the pools.

After the walk, we’ll return to Tallinn, completing the tour in about seven hours.
