The building was inaugurated for the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games to improve television broadcasts of sailing competitions in the Baltic Sea. The 314 metre-tall tower is visible from miles around Tallinn.

Ticket

The tower opens every day from 10 am to 6 pm, and tickets can be used at any time during these hours.

From May to September, the tower opens from 10 am to 7 pm.
