Climb one of the highest peaks in El Salvador along this hiking route through Volcanoes National Park. Set off from El Tunco for an unforgettable experience!

Conquer Los Volcanes National Park

Explore one of the highest volcanoes along the Central American volcanic line. After picking you up at the designated meeting point in El Tunco, we will head to Los Volcanes National Park, which features three volcanoes: Santa Ana, Izalco, and Cerro Verde. This tour focuses on climbing Santa Ana, the highest of them all.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a hiking route through the tropical cloud forest. This ascent showcases centuries-old trees and wildlife, including coyotes, foxes, ocelots, and various species of hawks and eagles.

Santa Ana rises over 2,000 meters (6561 feet) above sea level, making it the highest active volcano in El Salvador. At the summit, enjoy views of its four craters, notably one with a light blue sulfur lake, alongside panoramic vistas of neighboring volcanoes and Lake Coatepeque.

After taking in the views, we will begin our descent. You can pause during the hike to enjoy lunch or snacks brought along. After 9 to 10 hours, we will conclude the experience by dropping you off at the initial meeting point in El Tunco.
