4-day tour

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado - Tambopata

On the first day, we will pick you up from the Puerto Maldonado airport or bus station and take you to the starting point for our tour. After an introduction to the itinerary, we will drive for two hours into the Amazon Rainforest.

We will arrive at the Tambopata River, where we will board a boat to the lodge. After settling into our cabins and having lunch, we will take a walk around the jungle to search for wildlife. The rest of the day will be free.

Day 2: Macaw Clay Lick

We will depart early for El Chuncho, the largest macaw clay lick, on a 1.5-hour boat trip. We may see capybaras, jaguars, and tapirs.

Upon arrival, we will witness 11 different species of macaw. We will then visit a botanic garden before returning for lunch. In the afternoon, we will go kayaking in the River Tambopata.

Day 3: Monkey Island

We will start with a walk around the jungle to see trees over 500 years old, followed by lunch at the lodge.

We will then cross the Madre de Dios River to visit Monkey Island, home to Gracile capuchin monkeys and Guianan squirrel monkeys. At night, we will search for caimans for photos before returning for dinner.

Day 4: Canopy Walk

We will wake up early for a walk around the hanging bridges on the Canopy Walk, offering views from 30 meters (100 feet) up in the trees. After this activity, we will return to Puerto Maldonado, concluding the tour at 9:30 am.

5-day tour

The first three days will mirror the 4-day tour. On the fourth day, we will hike around Lake Sandoval and explore its waters in a traditional canoe. After sunset, a night walk will follow.

The fifth day will replicate the final activities of the 4-day tour before returning to Puerto Maldonado.

We will pick you up from the bus station or Puerto Maldonado Airport, with pickup times depending on your flight.

This tour includes pickup from the bus station or Puerto Maldonado airport. Additional pickup outside these areas will cost 50USD - 70USD, payable on the day.
