Chuncho Collpa Tour 2/3 Day Tour

On this 2 or 3-day tour to the Chuncho collpa, you will experience the essence of Peruvian nature.

Itinerary

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Tambopata National Reserve

We will collect you from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado and travel by 4x4 to the Tambopata River. After 2 hours, we will switch to a boat to reach our accommodation. After lunch, we will hike through the tropical rainforest in the Tambopata National Reserve to observe wildlife in their habitat. We will return to the accommodation for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Tambopata National Reserve – Puerto Maldonado

At around 4:30 am, we depart for the Chuncho collpa, sailing for about 1.5 hours by boat. We will spot various wildlife, including capybaras, tapirs, and jaguars. At the collpa, we will observe birds and learn about their behavior. We will then return for lunch and take an evening walk in the botanical gardens, focusing on the local flora. We will conclude the day by returning to Puerto Maldonado, ending the 2 or 3-day tour.

3-day tour

For an extended experience, book the 3-day tour, which includes an additional night in the reserve. On the second day, after visiting the Chuncho collpa, we will participate in a kayaking tour on the Tambopata River to see larger wildlife. A nighttime hike option is available.

Accommodation

This tour includes 1 or 2 nights of accommodation at the Monte Amazónico Lodge in Tambopata.

Pickup

Pick-up from hotels in Puerto Maldonado is included. For locations outside the city, there is an additional charge of 50 to 70 USD, payable on the activity day.
