Puerto Maldonado 3 Day Tour

Day 1: Walk and boat ride

Upon arrival at the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, your guide will take you to your accommodation in the Tambopata National Park. After dropping off your luggage, lunch will be served, followed by a walk along the trails to observe birds, turtles, monkeys, and other wildlife. A boat ride at sunset will provide a unique experience. Dinner will be served before resting for the night.

Day 2: Sandoval Lake

Breakfast will be available until 9:30 am before starting a trekking route to Sandoval Lake. This involves a 3-kilometer walk through the Tambopata Amazon jungle to explore its fauna and flora. Various species can be seen, including tarantulas, snakes, squirrels, otters, herons, and alligators. After lunch, a short night walk will take place, followed by dinner and rest.

Day 3: Parrot and Macaw Clay Lick

Early breakfast precedes a trip to the parrot and macaw clay lick at 4:15 am for bird watching. At dawn, parrots will gather to feed at the clay wall. The day includes fishing in Lake Anaconda. After the excursion, a return to the cabins will occur, with a chance to see sloth bears. The tour concludes with a transfer back to the Puerto Maldonado airport or bus station.

Tambopata Hanging Bridges

For more adventure, a 2-hour tour of the hanging bridges can be booked, available on the first or last day of the circuit, depending on arrival and departure times.

Accommodation

The tour includes accommodation in private cabins near the Madre de Dios River, with full board. Lunches and dinners feature a starter, main course, dessert, and non-alcoholic drinks. Breakfast includes juice, coffee, eggs, fried bananas, and other items.
