Tambopata 4 Day Tour & Ayahuasca Ceremony

Day 1

Welcome to Puerto Maldonado! After airport pickup, we will travel to the river port and board a canoe to our accommodation in the Tambopata National Reserve. On the first night, you will have a light broth, vegetable soup or water to prepare for the ayahuasca ceremony around 8 pm. A shaman will officiate the ceremony, introducing concepts of Andean cosmology and the ayahuasca brew made from local plants.

Day 2

On the second day, we will walk through the jungle to learn about medicinal plants used by local Indigenous communities. In the afternoon, we will visit a viewpoint to observe the jungle and search for birds such as eagles and macaws. A nighttime stroll will follow to look for nocturnal insects and animals.

Day 3

The third day starts with breakfast followed by a visit to Cocococha Lagoon, involving a 3.5-mile (5.5-kilometre) walk to observe its flora and fauna and search for Tambopata Giant Otters and hoatzins. After lunch at the lodge, we will visit Chica Lagoon and enjoy sunset photography before returning to the lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will sail to the Puerto Maldonado dock and then transport you to the airport for your flight.
