Tambopata 4 Day Tour & Ayahuasca Ceremony

Day 1

Welcome to Puerto Maldonado! After airport pickup, we will travel to the river port and board a canoe to our accommodation in the Tambopata National Reserve. On the first night, you will have a light broth, vegetable soup or water as preparation for the ayahuasca ceremony at around 8 pm. A shaman will officiate the ritual, introducing key concepts of Andean cosmology and the ayahuasca brew made from medicinal plants.

Day 2

Day two starts with a gentle walk through the jungle, learning about medicinal plants used by Indigenous communities. In the afternoon, we’ll climb to a viewpoint to appreciate the vast jungle and search for birds like eagles and macaws. A nighttime stroll will follow to look for nocturnal insects and animals.

Day 3

On day three, we will have an early breakfast before heading to Cocococha Lagoon with a 3.5-mile (5.5-kilometer) walk to explore its flora and fauna. We will look for Tambopata Giant Otters and observe exotic hoatzins. After lunch, we will visit Chica Lagoon for sunset views and photography before returning to the lodge.

After breakfast, we will sail to the Puerto Maldonado dock for your departure to the airport, ensuring ample time for your flight.
