Tambopata 4 Day Tour & Ayahuasca Ceremony
Day 1
Welcome to Puerto Maldonado! After airport pickup, we will travel to the town's river port and board a canoe to our accommodation in the Tambopata National Reserve. You will have a light broth, vegetable soup or water for dinner to prepare for the ayahuasca ceremony at 8 pm, officiated by a shaman who will explain Andean cosmology and the ayahuasca brew.
Day 2
The second day begins with a gentle walk through the jungle to learn about medicinal plants used by Indigenous communities. In the afternoon, we will climb to a viewpoint to observe the jungle and look for birds like eagles and macaws. A nighttime stroll will follow to observe nocturnal insects and animals.
Day 3
The third day starts with breakfast before we travel to Cocococha Lagoon for a 3.5-mile (5.5-kilometer) walk to view its flora and fauna, including Tambopata Giant Otters and hoatzins. After lunch at the lodge, we will visit Chica Lagoon until sunset, allowing for photo opportunities during the golden hour.
Day 4
After breakfast, we will sail to the Puerto Maldonado dock and transport you to the airport for your flight.
