Tambopata 4 Day Tour & Ayahuasca Ceremony
Day 1
Welcome to Puerto Maldonado! After picking you up at the airport, we'll travel to the river port and board a canoe to reach our accommodation in the Tambopata National Reserve. On the first night, you'll have a light broth, vegetable soup or water to prepare your stomach for the ayahuasca ceremony around 8 pm. A shaman will officiate the ceremony, helping us understand the concepts of Andean cosmology and the ayahuasca brew made from local plants.
Day 2
Day two begins with a gentle walk through the jungle to learn about medicinal plants used by local Indigenous communities. In the afternoon, we'll climb to a viewpoint to observe the jungle and search for birds like eagles and macaws. A nighttime stroll will follow to find nocturnal insects and animals.
Day 3
The third day features an early breakfast before visiting the Cocococha Lagoon, with a 3.5-mile (5.5-km) walk to admire its flora and fauna, including the Tambopata Giant Otters and hoatzins. After lunch, we will visit the Chica Lagoon to enjoy the area until sunset, ideal for taking photos during golden hour.
Day 4
After breakfast, we'll sail to the Puerto Maldonado dock for your transfer to the airport in time for your flight.
