  • 4 Tage

Venture into the jungle and explore incredible scenery on our 4 day tour of Tambopata. You'll also have the unique experience of attending a traditional ayahuasca ceremony.

Tambopata 4 Day Tour & Ayahuasca Ceremony

Day 1

Welcome to Puerto Maldonado! After airport pickup, we'll travel to the river port and board a canoe to our accommodation in the Tambopata National Reserve.

On the first night, you'll have a light broth, vegetable soup or water, to prepare for the ayahuasca ceremony at 8 pm.

A shaman will officiate the ceremony, explaining key concepts of Andean cosmology and the significance of the ayahuasca brew, made from local plants.

Day 2

Our second day starts with a gentle walk through the jungle to learn about medicinal plants used by local Indigenous communities.

In the afternoon, we will climb to a viewpoint to observe the jungle and look for birds like eagles and macaws. After sunset, we will take a nighttime stroll to spot nocturnal insects and animals.

Day 3

The day begins with breakfast before heading to Cocococha Lagoon, where we'll walk 3.5 miles (5.5 kilometers) to admire its flora and fauna, keeping an eye out for the Tambopata Giant Otters and hoatzins.

We will return for lunch and visit Chica Lagoon in the afternoon until sunset, providing ample opportunity for photography.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will sail to the Puerto Maldonado dock for your transfer to the airport in time for your flight.
